PROGRAMME OVERVIEW
The Higher Diploma in Facilities Management and M&E (Mechanical & Electrical) Engineering services programme will equip students with Electrical & Mechanical Engineering technical knowledge and Facilities Management function skills to develop their opportunities in the built environment industry especially in the M&E services for buildings, competent in performing electrical works, M&E equipment like Air-conditioner, Lift, lighting, plumbing and so on, energy management and set up effective maintenance programme &procedures. The Facilities management professionals are emerging rapidly to support facilities and development as the foundation of strategic management in order to improve the contemporary business process. The graduates will able to manage building facilities effectively in the dynamic environment and develop the skills to coordinate the facilities planning, designing and managing building systems and energy efficiency that contribute to business success. The programme will also cover a wide range of topics on designing the M&E system for the buildings, Building Management System (BMS), maintenance of M&E system, electrical installation, monitoring & conducting energy audits and optimal energy usage for the building as one of the requirementsof the BCA green mark assessment for buildings.
All courses will be delivered by way of tutorials.
